Printing, Part 2 (and serial ports)

The ribbons came in today.  I tried them out and they worked well.  I printed a sign and a  banner.

I loaded up my prodos writing diskette and printed out a listing of the startup program.  After printing the listing, I scanned it and uploaded the scan to update the posting Simple Startup, Part 1A.

Now that I can print from my Apple //c, I’m going to get busy with the Hamurabi projects.

In order to use ADTPro I needed a serial port on my PCs.  My desktop does not have one and neither of my laptops have a serial port unless the are in the docking station, so I found a USB to RS232 serial port adapter on eBay for $2.99 with free shipping.  It consisted of the adapter, an extension USB cable and a driver cd.  I ordered it Thursday and it arrived today, Monday.  I haven’t tested it fully, although, when I plugged it into either laptop, both seemed to recognize it.  I plan to test it thoroughly tomorrow.
