I went looking for more of my Apple II stuff today. I dug out one of my totes. They are fairly large 18 gallon totes about the size of a laundry basket.
This one had two diskette storage trays full of diskettes Also in the tote were the two boxes containing a set of Ultima I, II, and III and another with Ultima IV. Hard Hat Mack was there in its package reminiscent of an old double album.
Tucked away in the corner was a box containing the mouse for my Apple //c. The mouse was a mouse from Laser, the Apple II compatible.
Seeing that reminded me I wanted to try out Apple II Desktop. I downloaded a copy of Apple II Desktop, which is sometimes known as Mouse Desk. Quick use of ADTPro and there we go. I booted up Apple II Desktop and was not impressed with the results. In fairness, Apple II Desktop is an 8 bit program and all the other programs like this run on 16, 32 and 64 bit machines. The speed actually wasn’t too bad. The graphics display of text and icons came across as blurry at best on my monitor.
