I made no progress with my printer challenge today. I still haven’t figured out why I can’t get beyond eighty columns. I’m practically positive it can be done, but I’m missing something.
The TV is still working out really well as a monitor for the Apple //c, so if you are looking for a monitor for your Apple II and see one of these lcd TVs, check it out.
As a side note I tried hooking up my portable dvd player to it and it worked great for that also.
I’m sad to say I had to withdraw from this year’s IFComp, as I just didn’t have time to complete an entry.
To top it off, both of my laptops have started crashing on a fairly regular basis, in fact the one I’m writing on just locked up in the middle of the last paragraph. I had to power down and restart to continue. The other one is more sneaky as it just shuts down when you look away. I may need to replace one or both before too long. I need something that is designed to run all the time.
