Last fall I bought one of those mini netbooks. It is very small with a 7″ monitor and cost less than $45.
My hope was to run AppleWin but it would not run on Windows CE. Using an sd card you can set it up so it boots a version of Linux. I was able to get simh compiled and running on it so I could emulate a PDP 11/70.
Wouldn’t it be nice if using todays technology they could create a small portable Apple II in a similar form factor?
You could put disk images on a SD card or something similar, or maybe load it like an iPod by connecting it to your PC/Mac. If the pricing was right you could hook a new generation on the Apple II.

there is at least one if not more on android, one on the sony psp, probally the nintendo DS, and single board pc’s are getting more plentiful
