I’ve been working on the New User Kit for the last couple of days. The focus has been on ProDos, because, that’s what I have used. I changed the P8-Utilities Disk page to remind the user to store the original diskette.
I have used DOS 3.3 only when forced to by software that I was using. So, I was thinking about DOS 3.3 pages for the New User Kit and realized I didn’t know much more about DOS 3.3, than the new user, if any. Those pages will come later, when I learn enough to know they will be useful.
At one point in time or another, the average Apple II user gets the urge to write a program for themselves. I’ll make a couple of suggestions here:
- Create a new bootable Prodos diskette as shown in the New User’s Kit.
- Go to Asimov and click on the Documentation, Programming and Basic folders. Here you will find PDFs of many books on Applesoft. Mixed in are also books on games that you can type in and learn as you go.
