Games

If you go to the Asimov website and look for games to play on your Apple II you will find hundreds of games.  They are separated by type to make finding one easier.  Most likely if you have an old favorite that you are looking for, you will find it here.

Maybe you are a big fan of Hard Hat Mack; You’ll find a clean crack under action games, along with versions of Packman and Star Wars.

If you prefer text adventures or interactive fiction, you can find many of them from such great companies as Infocom or Scot Adams under adventure.  As I’ve said before, I’m a big fan of the Infocom Adventures.

Board games are represented by more than fifty versions like chess, clue, checkers, and monopoly.

RPG games are represented by many like Bards Tale, Knights of Legend, Might and Magic (I & II), Ultima (I through V) and Wasteland.  I’ve spent hours playing the Ultima games, both in the distant past and on AppleWin recently.  Today I downloaded all eight disks of Knights of Legend and am going to try playing that for the first time.

In the past I’ve tried the Sublogic Flight Simulator, but have not done well with it.  I think I’ll try again when I get some time.

If you are into sports, which I am not, there are many sports related games available.

Lastly there are many different strategy simulations available like Ancient Art of War and Ancient Art of War at Sea.  I had heard of both of these, but never had a chance to play in the past.  Now it may be an opportunity.

Based on the shear size (8 diskettes) and the opening credits, I’m looking forward to playing more with Knights of Legends.
