The other day when I was rebuilding my working disk, I had trouble finding original disks to do it with.
Yesterday, I had some time, so I set up one of my Macs to try out the printer. Turns out I didn’t have any printer drivers and no original system disks to install from.
So today at work I was thinking, with all the vintage machines out there and changing hands. it would be nice if there was a kit, a new user kit per say. The kit would contain software necessary to set up the computer and acquire more software. It would also contain documentation to get started.
Certain assumptions could be made, such as if you are reading this, you have a more modern computer than the Apple II.
With the Apple II, if we can get disk images we can use ADTPro to move the image from our modern computers to the Apple II.
With this in mind, what disk images or files would be necessary for a new user?
I would think at a bare minimum, a ProDos system disk and/or a DOS 3.3 system master.
