Today I finished sorting through my diskettes.
I think there were a couple of hundred diskettes altogether. I ended up throwing away 9 diskettes that just would not read and could not be formatted.
I was using the PRODos System Utilities for the Apple //c and the external drive to look at each diskette. I had done about 150 diskettes and it started to have trouble reading a whole handful of diskettes, so I started using the internal drive and was able to read them.
At this point I came across a cleaning diskette. I thought what the heck, I loaded one of the Diagnostic diskettes, that I found earlier and used the cleaning function for the diskette drive. Those diskettes that would not read on the external drive read fine.
I think I’ve been stalling but now that I have my work space organized and printer squared away, I’m looking forward to do some programming.
