I decided to take a snoop around the internet about the Apple II.
I use Google to read the usenet groups. I went and signed into google and as I moved through the menus to get to groups I noticed a link for blogs. I searched for Apple II blogs and on the first three pages the only ones just for Apple II were this one and Apple II bits.
There was this one add for Apple I and II schematic prints for $40 or framed for $180. Must be a doozy of a frame.
I then continued on to the news groups, comp.sys.apple2. There seems to be a great deal of interest in some sort of mass storage for the Apple II.
One clever idea, was to hook up a Raspberry Pi running ADTPro and vdrive to the Apple and possible power it off of one of the Apple II ports.
There was some discussion of using Apple II desktop on an Apple II using vdrive.
I have never used Apple II desktop, so I’m going to look into that in the future. I understand it is similar to GEOS for the Apple, so maybe I’ll try them both and compare them.

its more or less a oversized launcher, there is not many apps for it
Speaking of storage solutions, I have been thinking it would be cool to build a device which would look like a Drive ][ to the Apple ][ hardware. Use a micro controller to host the disk content from a uSD card and then provide a UI via something like a touchscreen LCD to allow the user to pick which disk image should be virtually inserted into the drive.
