In the first part of the post, I told you about starting this project. I have Kyan Pascal set up and running. I picked out my program, Hamurabi. Then I did my Hamurabi, Hello World program.
I got screen captures of the program listing and a run of my Hamurabi, Hello World program. When I tried to upload them as .bmp files WordPress gave me a very ambiguous error message, “Error saving media attachment”. I had no idea what that meant. So, instead of using an actual screen capture I just typed in a short representation of the program, and called it a day.
This morning when I went to correct it, Windows had done an update and I had some connection issues. Finally restarted it and all is well.
I asked somebody who has used WordPress more than me, my daughter, about the error message and she said maybe WordPress didn’t know how to deal with .bmp files. I loaded them into paint and saved them as .png files and away I went.
Even though I’m working with technology that is nearly thirty years old, the technical problems come from virtually new stuff.
If you look at the images, they don’t look very much like apple DOS or PRODos. Kyan can be used in two ways, under PRODos or they have their own environment, KIX, much like linux. I’m working under KIX, but it makes PRODos programs.

I see that you put the screenshots on the Part One, is that right?
Yes, I wanted them in the first part. I just had a hard time getting them there.
