One nice thing about being hooked on vintage computers like the Apple II is most of the books are all old. That sounds like a strange thing to say, but old books are most likely going to save some you money. When personal computers were new, I would tell people to plan on spending at least 10% of the price of their computer on books.
Last month, I bought two programming books through Amazon for $8.38 for the pair. $7.98 was for shipping and handling. A couple of nights ago I bought two more books on Pascal, for a penny a book plus shipping and handling.
Another cool thing is quite a few of the original Apple II books are available online in PDF format.
So if you are looking for old computer books, check out your online resources including eBay.com and Amazon.com.
