After yesterday’s fairly long post, I loaded up Ultima.
Wow, it has been years since I played last. I played for about an hour. The graphics are pretty crude and the sound affects are downright annoying, but I strangely enjoyed myself. I plan to play more. The commands started coming back fairly quickly and the ones that didn’t, I looked up. If you have some spare time you should dig up those old games and try them out again.
I have the boxed set for Ultima I, II and III and Ultima IV on it’s own. I may have Ultima V in storage. I’m going to have to look.
From experience, this game is a lot more fun with a Transwarp or other accelerator in the Apple.
