I downloaded a copy of ZLink. It’s a communications program for the Apple II. I remember it used to work fairly well.
I swapped laptops in my docking station, so I could try using the Apple //c as a terminal on the Linux laptop.
I’m missing something on the Linux side. I confirmed that Linux sees the serial port. I loaded up ZLink on the Apple //c, so it was waiting to connect.
I attempted to set up getty on the Linux laptop to accept a hard wired connection from the Apple //c. ZLinks status changes as if it is connecting as a vt100 and nothing happend. I had a thought, maybe I need a null modem adapter. So I checked the ADTPro web page, where I got my cable and it is already in there. I also noticed another article about using the Apple //c as a terminal. I’ll have to try that way tomorrow.
