Well first off, life in general happened today. All the little projects that did not get done during the last week, needed attention, so I didn’t have as much time to play as I expected.
I did hook up my Apple //c to my 32″ TV. I just plugged the composite video cable into the composite video port of one of the av inputs on the TV and switched TV to that input. The 40 column display is amazing. The 80 column display is not quite as good. Now I’m in the process of finding games that will play well on that screen.
I loaded up a couple of 80 column text adventures, Enchanter and Leather Goddesses of Phobos.
ADTPro worked well in the large screen format.
The best one I had on hand was Oregon Trail. I can see using the big screen to play a game like this as a group. To me it had interesting educational possibilities, being able to see and discuss your choices as you travel west.
