I copied the Network Software Installer file that I downloaded from the MacSE to the ZIP disk for the MacPlus.
After booting the MacPlus I double clicked in the NSI file to unwrap it. When that was done I double clicked on the resulting file only to have it tell me I need more memory.
I had a feeling it was going to be more complicated than connecting the wire and installing the software. I’ll have to some more reading on the subject.
On the more positive side of things, I was able to download packages for both TADS 2 and Inform 5.5 which should let me both write and play text adventure games, so I am very excited about those prospects.
I have not achieved the maximum connectivity I would like, but do have enough to acquire more software. I’m hoping to be able to set up a linux machine to act as a ghost script printer server for either of my Macs.
