I mentioned some Eamon games I found the other day while looking for a game from a magazine. Today I had a chance to play one of them, #181, The Eamon Sewer System. To say I played it, would be an exaggeration. The name intrigued me, but when I attempted to play it, I became frustrated. I tried to move in one of the directions the program said it was OK to go and nothing happened. I finally went in the direction the program apparently wanted me to go. The game is almost entirely about combat which isn’t bad I suppose, but when you try to move around the moves didn’t do what you expect. If you can’t go in a direction, it should tell you somehow. This particular games does not handle that well.

The power company has apparently fixed the problem in our area as the power has been up steadily since last night. It is rare for us to have power problems, but it does happen. Usually I don’t have a problem when it happens. My internet connection and phone runs on a ups and I have laptops with spare batteries.
The first time we lost power I was taking a nap and my laptops, which were running, ran down their batteries. The spare batteries hadn’t been topped off recently as I forgot after my vacation.
